The Bistrot le Pontarlier is the epitome of friendliness and good humour. The pleasant atmosphere of the bistrot stems not only from its d̩cor with nostalgic touches here and there - rods, fishing nets and hooks Рfrom the world of the fishermen on the river Loue but, above all from its staff.

Noel Gauthier is there to welcome you and guide your choice, with the greatest of care and attention. Jeremy’s aim is to “treat his customers as if they were friends”. And it won’t be long before you feel every bit as at home here as if you were a regular visitor.

Throughout the winter months there are theme dinners at the Bistrot le Pontarlier. The theme could be Saint Hubert, during the hunting season, redolent of the fragrances of Italy or have a hint of sea spray and be based on a platter of seafood.

Or it could be a Latin-inspired dance evening or a more romantic St Valentine’s dinner... there is no lack of opportunity to enjoy different evenings.
